Just waiting for our final legs! Hip hip Hooray!!!!!! Such a fun van. Thanks ladies!Chuck, Sabrina, Kathy, Tia, Lesa. We are a bit slap happy from lack of sleep.

13.1 miles, Done. Go Lesa!
Lori and Amanda, running towards the finish line in our lead!
Logan to Park City, 188 miles...Done.

Tia and me. She is one heck of a runner. Watch out if she's after you, 'cuz she will get you.

After 34 hours (some of us only got 3 or so hours of sleep,) we can still smile, laugh, drink, eat, have fun, and we still like each other! It was a blast ladies! Thanks for all the fun!!!!!! Let's do it again. Read about other team mates experiences here.

Holy what!? The month is almost over???

So I've been a little busy. I haven't had a chance to sit and do this blogging thing I wanted to do. This morning, I finally have a chance. So here goes.....
June 5th...Ran 5.5 miles at 5ish a.m. then went on a gorgeous hike with my family to waterfall canyon. It was so much fun! I really am starting to get into this exercise is fun stuff! Oh yeah!!!

And yes, in order to get the slurpee from 7-Eleven down the street, you HAD to stand under the water fall. We all know that!

Later that day, my family celebrated my Dad's Graduation Party!!! (Retirement) My dad is the coolest, he only wanted his children and grandchildren there. It was a very nice and relaxing evening. Thanks Dad, Love you!

June 8th, more running but this time, we had to visit the dentist.
3 Cavaities for Girl #2 and 1 for me. Our Smiles say it all!!

So during the next couple weeks, we had lawn mowing for girl#1 and a friend-couple of ours had a wedding for thier oldest daughter, I had lots more running days (I needed some sunny ones that just never.showed.up!) I think the total miles I ran in the last 3 weeks is about 46 miles not including Ragnar, and I decided I needed to paint the kitchen walls between the cuboards and counters area. That was fun. (But it looks great!)

We went on another hike in Millcreek Canyon. We took the Pipeline/Rattlesnake Gulch trail. The kids are absolutely made for hiking. Boy #2 got to ride up the whole way. It is a 2.1 mile hike up and then you get to come down the same way. It was super steep which was good training for me. I pushed myself to go as fast as I could, but with having run 4 miles that morning and trying not to over do it because of Ragnar, I was kinda slow. It was fun and fabulous. I'd probably hike it again. Probably.

So much fun and so many things happening the last couple of weeks. You now know why I haven't posted. I was having too much fun!!!!

This morning

This morning I went for a run with Chuck and Lesa. It was terrific. I really need to work on my hills, but that is tomorrow morning. Usually in the mornings after I have been up and gotten ready (or not) I read up on my emails, blogs, you know whatever on the computer. I saw this on one of the blogs I like to read. Maybe you'll find it interesting. I'd like to know what you think about it and how we can avoid getting extra stuff in our systems. I know diabetes is a huge risk for me and my children due to both sets of my grandparents have it and one grandparent on Stephen's side. I have always been aware of what we've been eating- whether it's been good for us or bad. I'm really going to start looking at what we are eating. I really want us to be healthy. marianutrition.blogspot.com
Really, I want to know what you think.

Memorial Day weekend update

On Saturday, Stephen helped his parents lay cement for a columned gazebo. He did a great job working the cement. He should, he used to work cement while working for Kaysville city when we were first married. It also helped to have my dad's tools to use. His brother and brother-in-laws helped with the project as well. This project has been going on for about two weeks. It was good we had nice weather for it. Their yard will be something else when all is said and done. I can't wait for the finished product- knowing that my hubby helped to create it.

Saturday morning I was supposed to run 8 miles. Due to lack of time and a friend I'll call "chuck" needing to get home by 7 a.m. we had to cut it short. We did run the 36Th street hill from Polk on up, but at that point they kept going and I turned around knowing they would catch up to me. I ran almost 5.5 and they ran 6.4. I wasn't as far behind or slow as I thought. It was good times. I loved the run and it felt great to be out there in the morning.
******************************************
Sunday, after attending church, we took off for camping! Anyone who knows me knows I hate it. I'm not really up for it, nor do I really relax and enjoy it. I have a very hard time. So, I went with my family for a quick overnighter which turned out to be fun. I really liked spending time with the hubby and kids. While Stephen was telling a scary story, Boy #2 helped him finish his story which made us all laugh, even Stephen. It was cute and something I would have totally missed out on if I'd stayed home like I planned. We had a fun time and Stephen cooked some good food in the dutch oven.
When we woke up the next morning to Jake barking at whatever, we fixed breakfast, packed up the tent and vehicle, went for a small hike and headed home. Our favorite places to stop at were closed due to the holiday, so it looks as if I'll have to go again. Won't my hubby be so pleased!!!!
We got home, cleaned up, visited with some friends for a few minutes then went to visit the graves. We put Sunflowers on them because those flowers are so pretty. When we got to Morgan, we put a pretty pot of red Carnations on Stephens sister's grave. It was already decorated with many flowers, so ours just added to it. It was a great weekend with my family. I loved every minute of it!
